The grapes for our Pacheco Pass Viticultural Area wine are lovingly cultivated on our ranch in the Southern Santa Clara Valley. Dornfelder, a distinctive cross between two traditional German red grape varietals, yields a wine known for its velvety texture and delicate floral notes. We chose to name this wine "Dr. Zanger" in honor of our grandfather, Dr. Henry Zanger, a Swiss German who married Clara Bisceglia Cribari in 1923.
