11/26/2011 – what is the alcohol content in this sparkling wine and does nit have a fruity flavor?
I am interested in ordering a case of the Pomegranite wine for our Doctor's at work, but I'm not too sure if this will be too sweet for them or is it safe to go with the sparkling wine as it is more festive.

Response From Casa de Fruta: Casa de Fruta's Pomegranate Sparkling wine is a champagne made from our pomegranate table wine. Its all pomegranates fermented into wine then put through the champagne secondary fermentation process. Its a sweet fruity in flavor and bright red in color. You definitely taste pomegranates. Like most champagnes, its about 11% alcohol. Table wines are generally 11% to 14% alcohol. It makes a great celebratory drink.
The Casa de Fruta Black Muscat Champagne is a great champagne made in the Muscato style. Typical Muscatos are made from the Italian white muscat grape. We use our Muscat Hamburg grapes grown on the Pacheco Pass which results in a pink color. It is finished a little on the sweet side.
We also offer a California Champagne which is the more traditional white brut champagne, not sweet at all.
All three are great for most occasions. It just gets down to personal taste. We sample all three at our tasting rooms at Casa de Fruta, 9560 Pacheco Pass Hwy, 13 miles east of Gilroy on Hwy 152.
