The grapes for our Pacheco Pass Viticultural Area wine are lovingly cultivated on our ranch in the Southern Santa Clara Valley. Dornfelder, a distinctive cross between two traditional German red grape varietals, yields a wine known for its velvety texture and delicate floral notes. We chose to name this wine "Dr. Zanger" in honor of our grandfather, Dr. Henry Zanger, a Swiss German who married Clara Bisceglia Cribari in 1923. His legacy and passion for family and tradition inspire us as we continue to craft wines that reflect the same dedication and heritage.
