10/19/2013 – I adore your fruit wines, my sister recently visited and brought some back to me, as I'm a wine fanatic. I work for Total Wine and More- and have come across dozens of fruit wines, I can honestly say y'all's are my favorite. I was curious about your blackberry wine- it was almost cloudy/murky appearance along with sediment at the bottom of the bottle.and had a slight fizz to it(assuming secondary fermentation being the cause) - is this normal for this particular wine? Or did I happen to get a bad batch? Thanks Angela
Response From Casa de Fruta: While we do thoroughly filter our blackberry wine prior to bottling, over a period of months, the blackberry wine can become a little cloudy with sediment at the lower portion of the bottle due to the color pigment falling out. If you have ever had an "unfiltered" red wine, you would have found a similar sediment/cloudiness with those too. We therefore bottle more often to keep the wine as freshly filtered as possible. But even if you purchase a just bottled bottle and let several months go by before you open it, it can have some cloudiness/sediment at the bottom. If this is the case, we recommend that you chill the wine with the bottle upright and then pour the wine slowly into your glass so to minimize the disruption of the color pigment sediment at the bottom. To enjoy every last drop, we suggest you use a paper drip coffee filter when pouring the last of the bottle
5/19/2011 – when will the blackberry wine be back in stock?
Response From Casa de Fruta: Thank you for your inquiry. Currently we are expecting the Blackberry wine sometime in the first week of June. As soon as it is in stock we will update the website accordingly.
